Weekend Relief

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are:

A Snowflake - A Winter Story

True Friends Never Forget - Especially Elephants

Kitten and Owl Video Becomes Internet Sensation in Japan

1950's Coca Cola Commercial

Unwanted Dog Adopted by Millionaire

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Laughter is the best medicine...the second best is chocolate!

Prayer is not asking, it is a longing of the soul.  It is daily admission of one's weakness...and so, it is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without heart. - Gandhi

Enlightenment is a death and a resurrection. - Osho

You can't build a reputation on what you're going to do. - Henry Ford

Afraid knot (afraid not)  :)  :)

The best place in the world is in the arms of someone who will not only hold you at your best but will pick you up and hug you tight at your worst.

Deal with tomorrow tomorrow.  Stay focused on now.

When you look for the good in others, you discover the good within yourself. - Martin Walsh

"Man, this place is a dump."  :)

Don't keep all your feelings pent up inside.  Sometimes you need a good cry.

Every challenging experience we face in life hands us a two sided coin of choice and opportunity.  We can use that experience as a reason to build us or bury us.  If we learn to live with whatever life hands us, and transform it into something of value, we will become a better person because of the lessons learned. - Denise Brusa

If you allow your mood to be at the mercy of unpredictable events and unreliable people, your joy will forever be on a chaotic roller coaster ride. Resist seeking joy from outside in.  Seek it from inside out. Instead of counting all the ways the world's done you wrong, count your blessings instead.

Never let the bad someone did to you ruin your happiness.  Never let their bad behavior stop you from behaving at your very best.

Endings are awesome new beginnings in disguise.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  22. Our office used to have a neck/back masseuse come in every Wednesday. For 15 minutes and a few dollars, one had a little slice of heaven. The masseuse told me that she could feel how empathic and emotional I was, and she told me that if she didn't cry daily, all of those feelings would overwhelm her. I do not cry every day, but when I'm down or sad/mad/frustrated, I no longer stop myself from crying. Let it out!

  25. I was familiar with the story of Tarra and Bella, but it was touching to see it again. I hope Tarra has found a new best friend since losing Bella. That was certainly a unique relationship.

  29. Linda, Love that elephant dog buddy story! It was also touching when the other elephants brought food to Tara to try to comfort her... Viewing that Coca Cola ad sure gives one a sense of just how much society has changed in the last 60 years. As for Lady's adoption, I wonder if that family in Florida would like to adopt an old geezer? They could pick me up here in East Tennessee whenever they want! Nice ending for Lady, that's for sure! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  35. Hello Linda! Oh my, that elephant story...Animals are such sentient beings. Wow. That is really a sad and touching story. I hope they found another fur angel for the sweet elephant. Isn't it so sweet the way the fellow elephants were comforting her? Many animals are better friends and mommies then humans right?

That Wrigley heir, that is so great! What a happy fur angel story! Yay for that lady! I loved seeing the dog's face looking out the window of the plane, so precious! And then you see them riding together in the cart...How darling is that? : ) That lady is great. : )

What a sweet post, the coke ad brings back memories of the diners in many of the stores. Really cute. So much more of a wholesome time...

Have a fantastic rest of the week Linda! Blessings!

  42. "You can't build a reputation on what you're going to do" - that's correct, but you can get a Nobel Prize which could build you a reputation(Obama got a Nobel Prize at the very beginning of his activity at the White House).

  51. I wonder why they picked a kitten in the snowflake video, other than it was a cute ending, as any cats/kittens I've seen really detest any snow or rain falling on them with a passion and shake them off :o)
